Every year, Mo Bros and Mo Sistas raise awareness and funds for men’s health by getting involved in Movember through their workplace. Starting with signing up at Movember.com, Mo Bros grow and groom a moustache for 30 days, whilst Mo Sistas support their local moustaches and champion men’s health. Here are some ideas for getting the Mo’s flowing in your workplace.

The reason for the poor state of men’s health are numerous and complex and include:

• Lack of awareness and understanding of the health issues men face
• Men not openly discussing their health and how they’re feeling
• Reluctance to take action when men don’t feel physical or mentally well
• Men engaging in risky activities that threaten their health

The Movember Foundation aims to change this way of thinking by putting a fun twist on this serious issue. Using the moustache as a catalyst, we want to bring about change and give men the opportunity and confidence to learn and talk about their health and take action when needed.

As a global men’s health movement, the Movember Foundation has the ambition to contribute to improving the lives of men around the world. We will achieve this by challenging men to grow moustaches during Movember (the month formerly known as November) to spark conversation and raise funds for prostate and testicular cancer. We see success as moving the dial on progress towards:

• Reduced mortality from prostate and testicular cancer
• Men living with prostate or testicular cancer being physically and mentally well

"J'ai décidé de tenter le semi marathon (voir le marathon) en 2015 , et quitte à courir 10 Km pour commencer ...autant que cela serve à une bonne cause !
J'ai choisi de courir le 28 Septembre 2014  aux couleurs de l'association  Imagine for Margo pour financer leurs actions... et pour cela j'ai besoin de votre aide !"

Pourquoi aider Khalid et cette association ?

"Et je vais vous répondre en 4 points:

1.       C'est la 1ère cause de mortalité des enfants par maladie.

2.       Pour soutenir le combat contre le cancer, qui nous touche tous, de près ou de loin.(ma petite cousine  âgée de 12 ans combat cette maladie depuis 4 ans).

3.       Pour profiter d'une réduction fiscale : 66% du montant du don est déductible de votre impôt sur le revenu.( reçu fiscal immédiatement imprimable suite à votre don)

4.       Et enfin pour m'aider à me dépasser et à concrétiser ce challenge."

Missions Imagine Margot

Le cancer des enfants est la 1^ère cause de décès par maladie des enfants avec 1 enfant sur 440 diagnostiqué avant l’âge de 15 ans. Ces chiffres sont en progression de 1 à 2% chaque année depuis 30 ans.

Avec 60 types de cancers différents, ces cancers restent des « maladies rares » et la recherche sur de nouveaux traitements n’est pas financièrement rentable pour les laboratoires pharmaceutiques.

Aujourd’hui seulement 2% des frais de recherche contre le cancer sont alloués aux enfants. Par conséquent, la plupart des médicaments administrés aux enfants sont «off label» c’est à dire des médicaments développés et testés pour des adultes et non officiellement autorisés pour les enfants.

Objectives Imagine Margot

Collecter des fonds pour aider au financement de programmes de recherche européens spécifiques destinés à trouver des traitements innovants et plus efficaces contre les cancers pédiatriques.

Sensibiliser les pouvoirs publics et faire changer la législation européenne afin d’obtenir des fonds dédiés à la recherche pédiatrique et réduire les lourdeurs administratives bloquant l’innovation pédiatrique.

Promouvoir la collaboration entre chercheurs laboratoires pharmaceutiques, législateurs et associations de parents pour faire avancer la rechercher sur les cancers pédiatriques et le suivi à long terme des enfants et adolescents.

Aider les familles et enfants hospitalisés atteint d’un cancer et améliorer leur bien-être lors de la maladie.

I hope you are all well. Today I wanted to talk about Céline Vollot, better known as "Célino!!!" internally. Céline joined the company nearly 7 months ago and is in charge of all personnel and pay roll administration. ADNEOM is proud to present one of our key elements...

Céline graduated from IESEG, Lille, with a masters 2 in Human Ressources and then integrated a luxury hotel in Brussels as the personnel and pay roll manager. After this experience in a capital city Céline decided to attack the next capital city, Paris. She soon joined GDF Suez in the heart of 'La Defense' as a HR project manager. This basically consisted in ........ We were very lucky to have Céline join ADNEOM earlier this year!

"I have always been passionate about working closely with the people who make a company run - everyone in that company. I take great pleasure in exchanging with them, answering specific questions and helping them better understand the 'why's' and 'how's' of payroll and administration. 

Since I have been at ADNEOM I have been so surprised to see such an open and international work environment. I had been used to hierarchy and only sharing on a professional level with fellow colleagues. Since my integration I have never felt as if  I was less or more important than anyone in the company, everyone is equal. I have always been valorised for my work at ADNEOM, in my older experiences they didn't know who I was (laughter).  I have met many formidable people at ADNEOM and frequently go out on excursions with them. It is a very family atmosphere with and underlying 'Work Hard, Play Hard' attitude. I guess its not for nothing that the slogan is "Positive Thinking Company".
